Learning how to play 75 ball bingo is straightforward even for those without prior bingo experience. The bingo rules are easy to follow.
The most common bingo game found in and around North America is 75 ball bingo. Most bingo players are familiar with the 75 ball bingo game as it is very well-known
The 75 ball bingo cards are squares with 5 x 5 grids. Numbers are contained inside the spaces within the grid. The numbers are chosen randomly, but within defined groups of numbers as is explained below.
The letters B-I-N-G-O (consisting of 5 letters, which is equal to one side of the grid) are usually printed across the top of the grid. Each letter is connected to a group of 15 numbers. The B heads up the numbers 1 through 15. The I heads up the numbers 16 through 30. The N heads up the number 31 through 45. The G heads up the numbers 46 through 60. The O heads up the numbers 61 through 75. Therefore, one would find numbers, randomly selected from 1 to 15 under the letter B, and numbers, randomly selected from 45 to 60 under the G, and so on.
The center space is always blank in the 75 ball game. It is considered a free space and counts as a marked off space when playing for a bingo.
In the 75 ball bingo game, it is possible to make a total of 6,000 different combinations of Bingo Cards.
There are only a few things that players need to learn when learning how to play bingo. The Bingo Rules are simple and the main skill needed is to listen and pay attention to the numbers being called. In Land Based Bingo, numbers are drawn out of a container, which is often a wire ball. In online bingo games, there may or may not be a large virtual bingo ball which contains small balls with all the numbers on them. Online bingo software uses a Random Number Generator to choose which number will be called next out of the possible 75 numbers.
The numbers are announced by the caller. When playing bingo online, there is often a voice announcing the numbers as well as the number flashing or appearing on the screen.
Players mark off the numbers that have been called by the caller when they appear on their bingo cards.
The bingo pattern chosen for a specific game can be a diagonal line or a straight line running either vertically or horizontally. The pattern can also be in a choice of different shapes chosen by those running the game, be it gaming software, or the bingo hall being played in. Once a player has covered (or marked off) numbers that have been called, which also form the chosen pattern, the player has won and should call out "bingo". Online players will click on a bingo button to alert the software that they have just completed the pattern. At times, the software will do this for the player.
